I’m curious, empathic, enthusiastic, sensitive and love adventures. Next I’m stubburn, down to earth, a real chocoholic, chaotic, active and passionate. And a bit crazy. Never a dull moment in my life, my life is a real rollercoaster.
Experiencing a traumatic period in my life, my life turned upside down. You can call it a rebirth or perhaps wake-up call. Since 2022 I became a digital nomad and I travel and work around Europe in my camper together with my lovely cat Loekie.

I am a multipotentialite! A what? A multipotentialite is someone who has a lot of different interests, that’s me. I don’t fit in one box, I like to do different things at the same time.
I am the author of the book; My husband has a brain tumour and I’m standing next to him. Due to this experience I am supporting the association ‘ZindividU’ for people who are going through a similar process. Next I’m sharing my story as a professional speaker, nationally and internationally which is giving me a lot of energy. I love to be on stage. Not only to touch the hearts of the audience, moreover what you can do if uncertainty is the only thing you have. And how to move forward and talk about loss, grief and death.
Passionate about storytelling, I support destinations and other suppliers from the meetings and events industry, how to tell their story and how to reach their audience.
My dream
I would love to do a TEd Talk somewhere on the globe, sharing my personal story about loss, grief, inspiration, entrepreneurship and storytelling.
Next, due to my personal journey I would love to create a community of people with similar experiences, not only online but also offline. To share experiences, to support each other, and how to use this process to your own advantage to shape and create your new journey.

Since March 2022 I became a digital nomad. Travelling and working through Europe in my camper together with my cat in my (home) office on 4 wheels.
My first stop was Poland exploring different destinations in the country like Poznan, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Gdansk, Lodz and Krakow. Find out more….

I take part in many events, meetings and trade fairs around the world as a participant, and I enjoy speaking on stage. Either sharing my personal or professional story, or a mix of both.

A year in review
What a year! It’s amazing what all can happen in just 365 days.
It’s been a life changing year, on all levels of my life. I have taken myself out of my comfort zone and started a new chapter as a nomad, and the first full year as a widow.

When I told Polish people that I would cover Lodz during my #MariskaJourney tour, I noticed some different facial expressions and received different reactions. This made me even more curious.
I wanted to explore the city without any expectations. I wanted to create my own opinion.
A new adventure in 2022 - follow #MariskaJourney
Starting 2022 with a new adventure I bought a camper, my new mobile home office. Going on tour through Germany to Poland. It sounds so easy and exciting, starting a new adventure after all that happened during the past 2 years. Yes, I love adventures and exploring new places, just I don’t want to travel alone. This dream of travelling around in a camper was a dream of me and Christophe.
