Mariska Kesteloo

Grateful that after 9 years, our dream is coming true. Working and living abroad. Houston, here I come!

Who is Mariska?

A dynamic female entrepreneur, born and raised in the Netherlands. Passionated about travel, curious about other cultures, who loves languages. She's a bit crazy, has a portion of guts, spontaneous and you can describe her life with a roller-coaster. Never a dull moment in her life!

She's passionate about storytelling and created Word of MICE in 2017.  Her goal is to support destinations, hotels, convention bureaus, cities to tell their story within the right target audience. Or you can say, creating awesome influencer campaigns in the meetings & events industry. She likes to speak on stage, work with clients from all over the world.

As a little child, she knew already that she wanted to travel, to see the world, to meet other cultures. Born in a little village in the Sout-West of the Neterlands, these surroundings were 'limited'. And so she did, she studied tourism in The Netherlands and worked in many countries, like France, Austria, Turkey, Tunisia, Spain, Morocco and the last 9 years in Belgium. Of course she has kept her passion for travelling. Starting as hostess, tourleader, office manager, reservations manager, purchasing manager, sales manager, freelancer and now finally entrepreneur.

Mariska met her husband and soulmate Christophe 10 years ago in Ghent. Together they are chasing their dreams to work and to live abroad, that moment is coming closer very soon.....

Living and working abroad is a challenge and I will share my personal stories, my ups & downs here.
